Today, a lot of significant number of people are being married and still being single. This has changed their lives and gives the differences between their lives. In this essay, I’m going to compare and contrast the differences between single people lives and married people lives in their lifestyle, companionship, and responsibility.

Firstly, Lifestyle is the first difference between single and married people lives. Single people will have much more privacy in their life. They will not be bothered by anybody in their homes. Nobody will command them not to sleep late, not to watch movie too much and so on; and single people can live a free life too. They can spend their time with their friends anywhere and anytime they want. In contrast, married people will be bothered by their live partners. They have to take care of their children and their partners. They can’t live a free life. If they want to go out with their friends, they must get permission from their partners first before they go. Married people are more busy compare to single people; because married people have to take care of their children and their partners, unlike single people who don’t have children and partners.

Secondly, companionship is the next difference between single and married people lives. A husband will depend on his wife, and a wife will depend on her husband. Supportiveness will be achieved easily by married people from their partners, parents and their children. Unlike single people who don’t depend on anybody in this world. They can’t trust anyone to share their secrets and another important part of their life except their parents. Supportiveness can be achieved only from their parents and their friends.

Lastly, responsibility is the last difference between single and married people lives. Married people have to manage their money or expenses gently and economically every day. They are also responsible for raising their children and guiding their families into the right way. If they can’t guide their family in the right way, their family can be broken and it can ruin their lives. Married people are also responsible to manage their time for their families. They have to spend their time with their children, husband or wife every day. In contrast, people who still remain single don’t have a schedule, they don’t have any children or partners to be guided and they are much less responsible of their money or their daily expenses.

In conclusion, lifestyle, companionship, and responsibility are the 3 main differences between single people and married people lives. In my opinion, being a married person is better than being a single person, because we are created by our god with our couple like Adam and Eve (Adam’s wife) story.

Habits are formed by trying, performing and repeating over a period of time. Once the behavior continues to build over a period of time, it becomes a habit. Good habits are hard to pick up and easy to give up; but bad habits are easy to pick up and extremely hard to give up. In this essay I’m going to state 3 steps to break up bad habits, there are by knowing your bad habits, changing the bad habits with other good habits and being discipline every day.

First, you need to know about your bad habits. If you do not know what your bad habit is, you could ask people around you, such as your parents or friends. They might give you surprising answers as you have never been aware or treated that behavior as your own bad habit. Besides, knowing the bad habit includes understanding why it is important to break the bad habit. It could be achieved by identifying how the bad habit affects your life. Every bad habit brings you bad effects like bad impression to others, harm to your health, negative influence on your study or something worse than these. You might not know about the bad consequences that your bad habits have been bringing to you, but again, people who are close to you know it well. It is because they can look at you from head to toe all the time while you cannot look at yourself in that way except being in front of the mirror. For example, people might only know biting nails would make their nails look ugly. On the other hand, they might not know how biting nails brings them a dirty impression to the others.

Secondly, Substitute or change your bad habits with another new good habits or use the new alternative to replace it. It is advised to prepare several alternative behaviors because you might get failed easily with only one alternative option to fight your old habit. When getting failed with option A, you should immediately use option B, C, D and so on. For example, instead of drinking a cup of coffee every morning, you can change it with a cup of herbal tea, and you have to accustom this new alternative every morning. As soon as possible your bad habits will be over as long as you can be patient to change your bad habits with another alternative.

Lastly, you need to be discipline everyday to get over your bad habits. You need to order your activities and your needs every day, for example, you have to make a list of what you will have in your breakfast, lunch and dinner on that day, so you can avoid all the bad habits like drinking a cup of coffee in your breakfast, etc. You need to be discipline when you want to combat your bad habits and never give up before you able to tame your bad habits into good habits. If you can order and arrange your life, your bad habits will be extinct and good habits will be emerged.

In conclusion, there are 3 steps that you can do to break up your bad habits; there are by knowing your bad habits, changing the bad habits with other good habits and being discipline every day. If you can do all these steps, I’m sure you will be able to get over of your bad habits easily.

SLUMDOG MIlLIONAIRE

Slumdog millionaire is a British 2008 movie directed by Danny Boyle and it was nominated for ten Academy Awards in 2009 and won eight, the most for any film of 2008, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay. It’s a life story about a slum 18 years old teenager from Mumbai, Jamal Malik, who is experiencing about the biggest day of his life to win 20 million rupees in an India’s who wants to be a millionaire game quiz show. The pace of the 2 hours movie, had the audience on the edge of their seat till the credits rolled up on the screen. There was not a dry eye in sight; the film took us on a journey of Jamals life in the slums, and just how he managed to answer the tough questions on the TV game show. Will the 20 million rupees be won by him or not? all will be answered and narated in this movie clearly.

Jamal Malik has been answering until the 19th questions correctly and he is just one question away to get 20 million rupees. It means he has already won 10,000,000 rupees and has made it to the final question, for 20,000,000 rupees,but it is scheduled for the next day. Following up on a tip-off from Prem Kumar ( the host of who wants to be a millionaire game show ), the police now suspect Jamal of cheating, because the other possibilities—that he has a vast knowledge, or that he is very lucky—seem unlikely. Jamal then explains how he could answer all the questions, while at least the question about Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan was very simple, he knew the answers of most questions by chance, because of things that happened in his life, conveyed in a series of flashbacks documenting the details of his childhood. This includes scenes of his obtaining Bachchan’s autograph (which is then sold by his brother to a friend),  and how he and his brother Salim befriended Latika (Jamal’s love and lost).

There are three different people playing Jamal, Salim and Latika throughout the movie and all are great. All three young actors who play Jamal are at the top of their game, which is astonishing since the oldest (Dev Patel) is only eighteen. Freida Pinto, who plays the elder version of Latika is radiant and a beauty to behold.

Salim and Jamal grow up from their adventures together on the road, of vicious encounters with local gangs, and so on. Even thought they are siblings, Jamal and Salim are different in their character. Jamal is more wise and good-hearted compare to his brother Salim who is bossy and selfish. Their mother was killed during anti Muslim-violence in Mumbai and their homes and villages were destroyed on those days, so they were started to live a life toughly without family.
In Jamal’s flashback, the children are eventually discovered by Maman, a gangster (a fact they do not actually know at the time they meet him) who pretends to run an orphanage in order to “collect” street children so that he can ultimately train them to beg for money. Salim is groomed to become a part of Maman’s operation and is told to bring Jamal to Maman in order to be blinded by acid (which would improve his income potential as a singing beggar). Salim protects his brother, and the three children try to escape, but only he and Jamal are able to do so, jumping onto a train which is departing. Latika catches up and takes Salim’s hand, but Salim purposely lets go, and she is recaptured by the gangsters as the train accelerates away.

All the questions that emerged in the quiz are connected to Jamal Malik life since he was a child until he grew up as a young adult, and each of the answer of the questions will be explained from his flashback life. Every moment of his life is a clue to the answers, and every question bring him closer to his one true love, Latika.

All over the movie was so wonderful and inspired me to struggling in this world. It’s a good movie because it motivates me and tells me about real life and also gives me so many good messages; the message are love never fails, life is adventuring and life is full of obstacles that we have to face it bravely and toughly everyday.

The movie explodes with narrative force, and wraps in a poignant romance makes us tear our eyes. From the very opening scene of the movie, I found the hairs on the back of my neck standing tall, especially when the music by award winning composer A. R. Rahman was overwhelming and drew the audience in to the vibrant city of Mumbai. I feel like I can see a sadness, a dream, and a struggle inside that music.

I really recommend you all to watch this movie. I think Slumdog Millionaire is one of the best films you will see from 2008. You would do yourself a favor by setting out to find this film.

I went to KL with my family..

we took KTM from our hotel because it’s more fun than we took taxi..

we went to KLCC first and at last I bought my new headset..

it’s quiet expensive because i bought a original 1..

After that we had our lunch in KLCC also…the food was nice and we enjoy it..

after lunch directly we weent to Masjid India..we took a taxi infront of KLCC..

the taxi driver was so nice and friendly..=)

after that my mother bought a lot of  fabrics from there for souvenirs…

and she was so happy..=)

After shooping we went to pray in Masjid India..

but today was a bad day for my father..because his shoes were stolen while he prayed on the mosque..

so he bought a new pair of shoes…

after that we went to Bukit bintang and Lowyat..

My little sister handphone was stolen 2 weeks ago in Jakarta..so she was begging for a new phone..

and she choosed a phone which much more expensive than her previous phone..

but and then my father became angry to her.. and she didn’t buy a new phone.. ( muaahahahaha )

after that we went back to Hotel and had our dinner in Nilai.. ^^ what a nice day

I’m taking 3 subjects this semester, the 3 subjects are chemistry 2, calculus 1, and ENL 101..

I have done my ENL 101 midterm and calculus 1 test 1 and test 2..=)

So it means my next challenge for these subjects is only final exams..

For chemistry 2, I will have the second test first after that I will face the final exam..

ENL 101 final exam will be held on August 6th at 2PM-4-PM in B2-L02

Calculus 1 final exam will be conducted on 6th August 2009 at 11.00 AM – 13.00 PM in B2L01..

it means that I have 2 final exams in the same day…=(

but for Chemistry 2 final exam will be held on 4th August 2009 at 8.00 AM – 10.00 AM in B2L01

I hope I will get good marks in the final exams and chemistry 2 also..

and will pass all the subjects..

I just finished my second calculus 1 test today..I did it welly but I will not get full marks in those test..

Because I did wrong in the last question..

But I hope I will get good marks..at least 20% above out of 25%..

My parents and my sisters came to Malaysia on these Monday..

I feel so overwhelmed and happy when they came and saw me..

they went to Genting from Monday to Wednesday,, and then directly they went to Langkawi island for 2 days 1 night..

and today they are with me in Nilai..

I’m at Nilai Hotel now..

Gather with my family for 2 days..

and tomorrow we will go to KL to have some fun times and go for shopping..But on the next day,Sunday, my little sister will go back to Jakarta earlier..because she needs to attend a school jurisdiction on her high school…. And then my parents and my youngest little sister will go back to Pekanbaru on Monday..

So it means that they will stay in Malaysia for 8 days..

I hope they will enjoy their vacation in Malaysia..

On the next week I will have my second chemistry 2 test!! =(

I haven’t revised for chemistry test..so from tomorrow onward i will study chemistry hardly, because if not I will

screw up on the test day..

Hope God will bless me everyday and give me a strenght to face the test paper!! LOL =)

Yes Now I can do baby freeze correctly…

i was taught by my friend..he is very good in break dancing..

I just learn for the basic parts like baby freeze, moonwalk, shuffle, side glide, and arm wave..

But I think the best part i can learn nicely is baby freeze..=)

I have to be careful to do that if not I can break my wrist and neck..

I have to Know the steps and the methods first before I do that..

I suggest you to do that also, but before you start it  make sure you warm up your body first to avoid injuries that can be happened when you do baby freeze..

For me baby freeze and another break dance style are good, if you lazy to go to gym or sports outside door..

you can do break dancing inside your room or on common area..

It’s a sport also because all your body part will be involved when you do it..

so try it guys..

no matter how strong or week you are..just try it..because it’s so easy and so fun too

and keep practicing every time you have a free time so you can get a balance and nice baby freeze..^^

I felt so bad when i knew i couldn’t book my current room for the next semester, but know i feel those feelings have gone away…

I don’t know why I can get over of it and I will be able to deal with my next room..

I think I just always think positive about that..I think there are some advantages that i can get from my new room a.k.a L block….

Firstly is I won’t have any room mate again. It means that more privacy that i can get later in my new room !

I can get more focus on my studies and no more distractions from friends, and I think my friends won’t come to my room again because it’s too far..=)

Secondly is decreasing my room fees. For short semester, L block costs 710 RM which it is more cheap than F block.

I can save my money for my own goods. I have told it to  my parents and they said it’s OK as long as I use money gently and not waste money for unnecessary  things. =) when I heard that I felt so Happy because next semester I will have more much money..( evil laugh ) =)

Even thought there’s no air conditioner on my next semester room, I’m still sure that I can deal with it…

I just will suffer 2 months without air conditioner and wish on January intake I can move to Desa Palma with my friends,,

So I think that’s all the major advantages that I can get from L block..

and I just want to say Bye bye F block and Hi L block..hihi  <(^_^)>

For another countries like Malaysia and Indonesia it will be released soon between July-September 2009!!

Fortunately I have purchased it from my Singapore Apple store account, so I have my new 3.0 ipod touch firmware. It’s pretty nice, because it makes me more easy to use my ipod touch. So guys if you want to buy but don’t have enough money you can contact me and you can buy it from me cheaper than you buy from apple store.

It’s legal because once purchased is maximum for 5 users, so i just shared it with another my friend and now still available for 3 users..

Room booking was started 2 weeks ago, and I forgot to book for the same room..

I was busied by assignments and tests so I forgot of the last due date for booking room..

So I went to AO office and asked to the officer over there whether my room is still available or not..

and the answer was not availabe!!

I was so sad and felt so bad those day..

and I asked them again whether i could move to another room in the same block or not..

they said ” nope, It’s full and some of the room have been booked for the long semester students’ !

when I heard that I was so peevish  and I immediately talked to the AO head officer over there and begged for at least moving to another floor..

But he also said “CANT”

I tried to calm down and left the room for going to the class..

after the class I came back to AO office and I asked them whether i can move to A,B or C block or not..

and again they answer with a big NO !!

They offered me to move to L block or M block or N block..

I was shocked to hear that..

and then because there is no more choice i choose L block Ground floor without air conditioner =(

all these blocks don’t have air conditioner except in  the 4th floor.

I don’t want to stay in the 4th floor again..

it’s so tiring..

So Next semester I will move to L block Ground floor..

I will miss my F block so much!! =(
